To the person who gave me some pink Baby Gap socks:

Thank you again! Not that my baby has to wear Gap, but the only, only socks out of a zillion that will (sort of) stay on her feet are the Gap ones. Her ankles are way too skinny for the rest. Madeline turned four weeks old today and still weighs only 5 1/2 pounds. We're trying to fatten her up, so we promised her a 6-pound party when she crosses that threshold. She is already sucking with renewed vigor. Now my only quandry is figuring out what we should do at our party. Eating things in 6-pound quantities might get a little disgusting. What would YOU do at a 6-pound party?

maybe you can just eat small things in quantities of 6 (6 chocolate chips, 6 saltine crackers with 6 slices of cheese, etc...)

Why not spread the celebration over a six-day period and eat only 1 pound of something every day?! Hahaha. I can't wait to meet her! And I can't wait to see you again, Sarah! Love ya tons! --Marcy

Maybe you should have a milk party and drink lots of yummy milk: chocolate milk, strawberry milk (remember that?), and I think the Creamery makes cookies & cream milk! You could even have milkshakes? Maybe that weight-gaining karma will help her! ;)

Can't come. My image would bloat up like my Aunt Roberta.
