We Need to Talk
But first, a picture of Violet helping me mow the lawn. Her face about sums it up. She thought it was cool until she didn't. She would much rather be pushing the mower than craning around to see what I'm doing; next time maybe I'll try putting her on the front so she can see what's going on.
Anyway, our talk. Have you ever been annoyed by something that other people do, only to find out somewhere far down the line that you do it too? Today my sister casually suggested that I turn off word verification for comments. Oh my word. Word verification is not my thing. It's a hassle and it makes me feel dumb if I can't really tell what the words are--which is most of the time. I thought I turned it off ages ago and have wished so many times that others would do the same. Well . . . sister was right. "Whoop," as Madeline would say. It's off now.
This is the same sister who informed me 20 years ago that I had triangle hair. I didn't believe her at the time, but now I can look back at pictures of my permed, frizzy hair and testify that it was true. It really looked like I had a triangle on my head. Perhaps taking me by the hand and guiding me to better hair would have been in order. Feel free to do this anytime (lovingly of course) if you ever feel like I need a similar intervention.
Perhaps now it's time to look into my sister's allegation several years ago that I'm a loud walker. Anyone?

I thought you were going to tell me you smoke in the back yard.
HAHAHA Your husband is funny. :) It's been awhile since I've seen you, but I don't recall having observed you being a loud walker. I'm not generally observant, but I do quickly catch on to nuances of movement in other people. I can recognize my husband by his walk WAY before I can see any other distinguishing feature. :)
Just in case I didn't make this clear in the post: My sister is both wise and kind. :) And yeah Dave, sorry about all the smoke that's been getting into the house . . .
All I can do is laugh and say you no longer have triangle hair and you're beautiful and I miss Violet so much.
Remember when I lovingly did your makeup for prom? Yeah . . .
Don't worry, I told Kayla all about how I sung Radio Romance. Cindy elaborated. True allegation on me!
Correction: Homecoming?
And hip, hip hooray for word verification being, off, I am leaving comments with easy ease! You are great and awesome and cute and so are your kids . . . I could go on forever.
No triangle hair for you. I may have to make SEVERAL different comments now that word verification is off. And please turn around when a photo is taken because I can't see any of you but your smile.
